Virgin Australia group of airlines, formerly the Virgin Blue group of airlines, was launched in 2000 as the first sustainable low-fare airline in Australian skies. It has established a global reputation as an innovator and leader in the aviation industry; renowned for the warmth of its people and the quality of the service they provide.

Starting out as a single airline operating a single route with just 200 team members, today the group employs over 7,000 people and includes Virgin Australia international and domestic airlines and Virgin Samoa, a joint venture with the Government of Samoa.

Virgin Australia operates a fleet of modern Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Airbus A330, ATR-72 Turboprop and Embraer E-Jet aircraft flying to over 30 Australian destinations as well as international destinations including the USA, UAE, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu and the Cook Islands.

Luke met Richard Branson in 2003 and soon after was asked to cook for him on his private island, Necker, in the Caribbean.  The relationship quickly grew into Luke taking a consultancy role for Virgin Atlantic and a number of other private events at Branson’s resorts including Caribbean.  Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco and Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in South Africa.

In years to come, Luke  went on to become the V Australia Business Class and Virgin American First Class chef, providing guests with specially designed signature dishes during their Virgin flights across the Pacific and throughout America.

These days, as part of Luke’s collaboration with Virgin Australia, his influence is strongly seen across all menus.  In Retail and Premium Economy, Luke has introduced a range of tasty snacks and beverages, in addition to his own branded range, such as gourmet sandwiches, pies and fresh salads. The sophisticated Business Class menu offers premium breakfast, lunch and dinner options; created from the finest, freshest local produce and complemented by a diverse selection of wines.  In the airport lounges, guests can enjoy an array of healthy options as part of a gourmet buffet, tailored to suit busy travel schedules,
